This is a full synthetic engine oil that can be used in petrol as well as diesel engines. One of the big advantages of this motor oil is that it can obtain a significant fuel economy result compared to other more standard engine oils. This product has specifically been formulated for the BMW group passenger car vehicles, but can also be used in other vehicles that require a high quality 0W30 fuel economy engine oil. The BMW LL 04 specification on this product means that BMW approved it for fully synthetic long life engine oils. They can be used in vehicles that are equipped with a diesel particle filter (DPF). Note that this product can also be used in vehicles that require an older specification: BMW LL 01 & BMW LL 98. The formulation of this product also meets the Mercedes Benz MB 339.31 specification which means that it at least realizes a 1% fuel saving on used fuel in the M111 Fuel economy test.
